Our network consists of around 15 transmitter locations, giving a vast coverage of the Paphos and Polis areas. We were the first to gain approval for our 5GHZ hyperLAN2 system, and our network is entirely built on this technology. Our links to the internet consist of multiple CYTA links, giving backup lines in the event of a single failure. All of our CYTA links are of guaranteed performance, and as a licensed ISP we do have a priority service. Holitec is the only licensed hyperLAN2 provider in Cyprus¹. We will shortly be fitting satellite broadband links to provide a backup service in the event of a total failure of the CYTA links, plus to end reliance on mains power we are fitting powersupplies that are capable to supplying power for 2-3 days at each remote location.
Our routers are very powerful, and provide dynamic bandwidth shaping, trojan detection and firewall capabilities. Spam emails to your holitec account is reduced by our email server by checking with the RBL and other spam lists keeping your email inbox to genuine emails only. We can not stop all spam, but our system stops around 90%.
